Working with local designers is always fun :)

Last month I did a promo photo shoot with a talented up and coming designer Ingo Shanyenge. It was a really great day and even better, the sun was out all day! Ingo showed his collection yesterday as part of Brighton Fashion Week. You can have a look at some of the photos below. A sunny photo shoot

A friend of mine did a course in hair and make up this year and I was her 'model' for her exam. Here is a photo of the final look. Well done Marie for doing such a good job!

Here is a shoot I did last month. Our lovely model traveled from London to work with us. It was a fun and relaxed shoot and such a beautiful day! A few of the images are below :)

Real People = More rewarding work!

Yes we all know I love my fashion photography, and don't get me wrong, I love fashion. It's so expressive and creative! I get overly excited when I see a beautiful pair of shoes that I can't afford, but even more excited when I see a beautiful image...perfect model, perfect clothes, perfect styling, perfect lighting, perfect concept and perfect photography. But it's certainly not my entire life and I wouldn't want to become one of those fashionistas I sometimes meet and find a bit...dull and slightly full of themselves. Fashion photography is awesome and fun, but I like that my life is more than that.

So when I get to photograph real people with real stories to tell me - that's when I get even more satisfaction from my job. And sometimes these people blow me away with their beautifully shiny personalities and fantastic sense of humor and view of the world. These are the people I love to meet, and how lucky am I that they choose to use me as their photographer! Below are a few photos from recent lovely clients I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with on a variety of photo shoots.

Recent Experimental Photo Shoot!

Last week my friends Jodie (MUA) and Izzy (model) came to my studio and we experimented with an idea of Jodies. We didn't know if the idea was going to work...but it did! Here are the results!

Happy Valentines Day! I only have 20 minutes left until it is no longer V day so I better get cracking!  Over the last 2 weeks I have had the pleasure of photographing couples in love and capturing their personalities and their love for one another. I have a couple more couple photo shoots to come in the next few weeks so keep an eye out on here and on my website :0)
