My web design so far...

Im running a bit behind on this project for various reasons...but im trying to catch up! Here is what I have come up with so far. I still need to do 2 more mock ups though! Im really liking this one though! Please click the image to enlarge it.

Web development - oh crap! :-s

Ok, totally changed me idea this week. Im going to do a website for a party entertainment business. It's going to be for adults parties (No chris, not adult parties!) Just parties booked for adults, like big birthday bashes, anniversaries, hen/stag parties, work do's...etc. Ive got most of my content written. ive got a name, And ive designed various top banners and decided on the one I want to use. I therefore have a color scheme too. BUT I dont yet have a site map, or a design in gernal for the site. Nor do I have any skill in using dreamweaver and this worries me some what. PLEASE HELP ME SOMEHOW! PLEEAAASSSE!!!!

Lets get to it...

Well, we are in week 2 of the project and im feeling quite behind which is not like me. I've had various 'brainwaves' for ideas, done a ton of research and then not quite followed through and moved on. Today was no exception. But enough is enough and I shall be sticking with today's idea as I've starting designing bit and bobs and done research and stuff. Ive got my product, company name, fake url address, top banner and color scheme...now if only I understood how to write a website! I'll work on the whole html thing this week. I gota im worried about it. Im excited too but everyone is saying how amazingly easy it it. But personally, i think you are gonna say that if you already know what you're doing and you have picked it up. But for me it's all a bit overwhelming...i'll get there though and add a new skill to my list of...ermm, skills!

On a separate note, Im doing some modeling in a couple of weeks, and i'm also doing some fashion photo shoots as a photographer and getting a hair and makeup artist in to do some more avante garde stuff. Im dong it to build my portfolio and just get creative again, away from the classroom. Anyhoo, as always i have collected some images that I like in terms of fashion, lighting, posture, model etc... Ive got a massive folder full of them, but ive put some of them onto a slide show. Mainly for my own amusement, but here it is, in case anyone else is interested in what fashion images inspire me :0)

How frustrating!?!

An insert taken from a recent email sent from college -

"Grand Parade Media Centre
Partner college students do not have access rights for equipment loans from the Media Centre;
equipment and loan facilities should be provided by partner institutions."

Who else thinks this sucks and as students who pay full university fees, we should have access to full university equipment and facilities!?!

Production Log - Week 5

Well this week has been very productive. I have worked really hard with my project. On Monday I edited all of the film that I had which I was really happy with. I also re recorded my audio track so that It worked better with the film.

Then I began to design my DVD cover...this is not yet fished as I can't quite get the sizing right...

Then on Wednesday I recorded my final scenes. I had to go through to process of getting my friend to transfer them into DV files for me before I could upload them.

By Friday I had the files and spent the whole day finishing off the cutting and editing. I think I have almost finished now...just a few things to go which I'm a bit stuck on, but Im sure I'll figure it out!

On Thursday I designed something which I hoe will by my sleeve for my DVD case. It as the poem inside, on nice photos which I took myself...It took me ages but I'm really pleased with the final results. I still need to re size and test the printing etc.

I've also been putting the final touches to my sketchbook this weekend. I think it's safe to say that I'm almost done and ready to hand in my project.
